Projects
Come and take a look at what we've been doing for the PowerPC Archive!

gThirtyFour
We take Gavin's 1999 B&W Power Mac G3 and buy a bunch of parts to see how much performance we can get out of this machine. Some of the parts we've bought include a 450MHz G4 CPU and a 128MB Radeon 9200 Mac Edition.
On our partner site ProPandaTV, we have a series of YouTube videos that go along with this project such as upgrades for each day we get something new. Day 1 included parts such as a new hard drive and a wireless PCI card. And after all of the upgrades we will do a bunch of benchmarks videos to see if the upgrades were worth it!

G5 Challenge - 2014
We use a G5* for a week and don't use any intel machines during the week. Is it possible? We think yes.
Coming Soon!
*Early 2005; DPG5 2.7GHz, 6GB DDR RAM, 64GB SSD, Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8

Rebuilding a G5 LCS
With our new 2.7GHz Mac, the processors would get up to 200*F which is extremely hot. We rebuild the Liquid Cooling System with new tubing, O-Rings, and Feser One coolant. The G5 still runs hot but doesn't go any higher than 180*F at any given point of time. Our next project with this machine will be installing Air Cooled heatsinks so we don't have to hear the fans jump up and back down (which is quite annoying!).
